The Harmony Fire District provides primary fire protection and rescue services for the Boroughs of Harmony and Zelienople as well as the Townships of Jackson and Lancaster. Additionally, we respond to many neighboring areas for a variety of incidents. Our responses can include structure fires and vehicle accidents as well as lower acuity calls such as alarm investigations, flooding, and storm damage.
The HFD is comprised of a 100% volunteer staff of all ages that come from many different backgrounds, some emergency services related but most are not! Many of our members come in with little to no experience and are provided with training to allow them to succeed in their emergency service career. The diversified training can include structural, industrial, and vehicle firefighting as well as vehicle, rope, swift water, trench, and confined space rescue.
