The members of the Harmony Fire District complete a multitude of tasks, below are some examples of areas that our volunteers help the district succeed.
The Harmony Fire District provides primary fire protection and rescue services for the Boroughs of Harmony and Zelienople as well as the Townships of Jackson and Lancaster. Additionally, we respond to many neighboring areas for a variety of incidents. Our responses can include structure fires and vehicle accidents as well as lower acuity calls such as alarm investigations, flooding, and storm damage.
In addition to responding to incidents, there are many other tasks that must be completed. The administrative roles are almost endless, they range from grass cutting and building maintenance to IT administration and legal/secretarial tasks.
One of the best ways to learn about the fire service is through the junior program. This allows teenagers from ages 14 to 18 to work alongside knowledgeable firefighters who will prepare them for a successful future in the fire service.
The Harmony Fire District Auxiliary exists to support the fire district and its members in a multitude of ways.
